There has been construction going on near my work for quite some time now. The yellow reflector seemed watchful today as people walked past on their lunch hour and traffic came in and out of the ER entrance.

I find myself pondering the wonder of watchfulness. The time that we take to just observe and take in and reflect upon the world around us is important, for we never truly know what is just around the bend.
Perhaps it is the tragedy that is unfolding in Haiti. But suddenly my perspective on watchfulness has changed.
