Thanks to Chris, I now have the perfect buttons for my Ginny sweater:

48/365 Buttons for my sweater
I got these at Madrona from the Gita Maria booth. Yes, they were pricey, but I think that they are perfect for this project. Buttons to me can sometimes make or break a project. If I am going to put in the hours to create something well made, I certainly do not want to detract from the end result by putting the wrong buttons with it. If I happen to have the perfect buttons at home in my button stash, then I do use them. Sometimes they just are not quite right.
I am glad that I held out for these. I can’t wait to get to the point where all the pieces come together. Since the Brandywine shawl and finishing this sweater are my goals for these Olympics, I hope that I don’t have too many more knitting errors in the immediate future.

I almost ripped out the repeat completely before coming to my senses and snapping a picture. Then I realized I hadn’t switched the settings on the camera. Oh well.
I love the buttons. I agree. The right buttons can make or break a project.
These buttons are fabulous!
I enjoyed that booth the year I went to Madrona. Really nice stuff!
Your buttons are lovely and such a compliment to your wonderful knitting.
Hi!
Those are amazing buttons.
This is Rowan, Fiona’s old friend, by the way. I was thinking about you because I just started my own knitting blog… I’m making my first sweater, finally. My first post was a little summary of all my fiber exploits, and I realized you were the one who taught me how to knit in the first place, so I thought I’d see if your blog was still up, and here it is.
If you’re interested, my url is http://www.italiansandsweatervests.blogspot.com.
I don’t know if I ever really thanked you for teaching me how to knit. THANK YOU. It’s been a big part of my life and the biggest stress reliever ever.
Much nostalgia,
Rowan
