There is a certain rhythm to the seasons and here in the Pacific Northwest it is not uncommon for summer to wait until after the 4th of July to make it’s annual appearance.
There are always those teaser days. Where the day dawns bright and cheery, the temperatures warm and we dive for our sunglasses and usually forget the sun screen. Usually there is a plethora of people running around the next day sporting a bright red hue.
Saturday was one of those days. Now we have returned to the gray and wet. It is comfortable, like the feeling of yarn sliding through my fingers. There is something about that old comforting activity that soothes the soul and grounds me.
And then, of course, today is a complete surprise. Yay, sneaky sunshine!
