Of course, on my way out of the door to collect the gymnast and take her to the ER, I grabbed the wrong backback. Good news? She was able to do some of her reading while we waited. Bad news? I did not have any knitting with me. It was a very long three hours.

With the girls in school, working full time and trying to juggle the schedules of everyone, there has been precious little sanity time for moi. Somehow I need to change that, but it won’t be this week. Shan has been out of school all week with the flu, and the rest of us are pedalling frantically to avoid the same fate. Poor thing hasn’t emerged from her cocoon of blankets on the couch since Monday. Since she turned 12 on Saturday, so far I’d say she thinks being 12 totally stinks.
